No matter what, you're going to need the following to play any sort of sized games besides 400 point patrols: 1 HQ Choice which can be a sorceror, Lt., or Chaos lord. You can build him out of any parts from your chaos kit, or buy the metal GW piece. OR if you wait until September when the new Chaos Codex releases, the new plastic terminator lord comes out. Really, the choice is up to you and it's really dependent on which legion you play. Alternatively, you could use a character like Abbandon who is pretty powerful, but again, this decision is dependent on the legion you chose. 2 Troop Choices - you'll need 2 troop choices no matter what. The 8 marines are a good start, however try and get atleast 2 more squads in there or 1 squad and some daemons. Troops make up the most of your force. If you get 3 squads of 8, you should be good. I't look at the Dremel model that can use a router attachment. If you want, cut it as close as you can tnd then use a 'bastard' file at a 45 degree angle to the top to finish it out.
